Working as a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing the Year 6 curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to create a holistic and enriching educational experience for students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the Year 6 curriculum, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and independent thinking.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support individual learning needs.
- Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and educational programs.
- Establishing effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a timely manner.
- Organising and participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies, creating a respectful and supportive classroom culture.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a focus on Year 6.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Commitment to professional development.
- Enthusiasm for incorporating technology into the classroom.
