GalloWe are looking for a compassionate and reliable Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct support to individuals facing behavioral and mental health challenges. Your work will contribute to the well-being and growth of clients by implementing care plans and offering hands-on assistance under the guidance of clinical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Support and Engagement:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to clients in various settings.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting independence.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Behavioral Interventions:
- Implement behavior management strategies as outlined in treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based techniques to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
- Monitor and record behavioral patterns to support ongoing assessment.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with clinicians, therapists, and family members to support treatment goals.
- Communicate observations and concerns to the care team in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately document interactions, behaviors, and interventions in client records.
- Ensure compliance with organizational protocols and confidentiality requirements.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings.
- Stay updated on best practices and innovations in behavioral health care.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, or a caregiving role.
- Familiarity with behavior intervention techniques and principles.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to diverse client needs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
