Job description
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) to join a dynamic team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will provide effective therapy to clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, using CBT techniques to promote healing and personal growth. This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility to work both remotely and Birmingham.
Responsibilities include. but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and developing personalised treatment plans.
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques.
- Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborating with other mental health professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Staying current with advancements in CBT and other therapeutic practices through continued education and training.
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid accreditation with a recognised professional body (e.g., BABCP, BACP, UKCP).
- Proven experience providing CBT to clients with various mental health issues.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in using technology for remote therapy sessions.
