Child & Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child & Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in ADHD treatment and management. This freelance position allows for a flexible working schedule while contributing to a crucial department focused on ADHD within CAMHS.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents with ADHD.
• Developing accurate and timely diagnoses based on clinical interviews, assessments, and observations.
• Creating individualised treatment plans that address the specific needs of each patient.
• Prescribing and managing medication as necessary, ensuring the best outcomes for patients.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
• Providing expert guidance on behavioural strategies and psychological therapies.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Offering expert consultations to families and caregivers, supporting them in understanding ADHD and treatment options.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements:

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
• Significant experience in diagnosing and treating ADHD in children and adolescents.
• Strong understanding of current ADHD guidelines and evidence-based treatments.
• Previous experience working in a CAMHS setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.

• Contract: Freelance
• Department: ADHD CAMHS
• Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Payment: £130 - £140 + Per Hour Rate
