Clinical Psychologist - ADHD/ASD

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join a private practice, specialising in ADHD and ASD assessments and therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for children, adolescents, and adults with suspected ADHD and ASD, while also offering general psychological services to our private clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive ASD, LD, and ADHD psychological assessments using interviews, psychometric tests, for individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Administering and interpreting standardised psychological tests, rating scales, and clinical interviews.
  • Collaborating with clients, families, schools, and healthcare professionals to gather relevant information for accurate diagnosis.
  • Preparing detailed, evidence-based diagnostic reports outlining assessment findings, diagnosis (if applicable), and recommended interventions.
  • Providing feedback to clients and their families, explaining the results of assessments in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Offering individual therapy and counselling services for clients diagnosed, as well as those with related conditions such as anxiety, depression, and learning difficulties.
  • Developing and implementing personalised treatment plans focusing on behavioural management, coping strategies, and emotional support.
  • Providing psychoeducation to clients and families, including behavioural strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  • Documenting assessment results, treatment plans, and therapy progress in a timely and organised manner.

Requirements:

  • Clinical Psychology qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Significant post-qualification experience in working with individuals with ADHD, ASD, and complex needs.
  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with patients, families, and other professionals
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
