Job description
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a dedicated team in Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in in-patient psychiatric care, including experience in Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) and Acute Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing expert psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for in-patient populations.
- Managing and overseeing psychiatric care in both PICU and Acute Services settings.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conducting regular reviews and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Engaging in clinical supervision and contributing to service development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Approved Clinician status.
- Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych).
- Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- A minimum of five years’ experience working in an in-patient psychiatric setting.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Proven experience in Acute Services, with the ability to work effectively with both male and female patients.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
