Job description

As a Remote Counsellor, you will provide professional and empathetic counselling services to clients through virtual sessions. You will be responsible for managing a full caseload, ensuring each client receives the highest standard of care. This role requires a proactive approach to therapy, utilising evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting a minimum of 30 counselling sessions per week, delivering therapeutic interventions to clients.
  • Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with clients to facilitate their mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Conducting assessments and developing personalised treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
  • Utilising appropriate therapeutic modalities such as IPT, LTC, DIT, CTfD, CFD, and BCT during sessions.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Participating in regular supervision and professional development to enhance counselling skills.
  • Collaborating with other mental health professionals and refer clients to additional services as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Accredited with BACP or actively working towards BACP accreditation.
  • Completion of an IAPT top-up course such as IPT, LTC, DIT, CTfD, CFD, or BCT.
  • A relevant degree or diploma in counselling, psychotherapy, or a related field.
  • Experience in providing therapeutic support, preferably in a remote or online setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, ethical standards, and data protection practices.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
