We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Crisis Clinician to join our team in Cambridge, MA. The ideal candidate will provide immediate support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and offer clinical guidance to team members responding to urgent situations. This role requires strong crisis intervention skills, a trauma-informed approach, and a commitment to serving diverse community populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and support to crisis response teams.
  • Deliver immediate, compassionate care to individuals experiencing acute distress via phone, in-person interactions, and community-based outreach.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Offer real-time consultation and guidance to response teams during crisis interventions.
  • Accompany crisis responders on-site to provide direct clinical support as needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and facilitate appropriate next steps for individuals in crisis.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including healthcare providers, social service agencies, and law enforcement, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
  • Apply principles of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices to all interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current with best practices in crisis intervention.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited program in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current Massachusetts licensure: LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, LICSW, or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, or a community-based setting.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or clinical consultation experience within a mental health context.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a CORI background check, driving history review, and drug screening.
  • Completion of required crisis response training within 120 days of employment.
  • Availability to respond to crisis situations during work hours and on-call, including evenings and weekends as needed.
