We are seeking experienced and passionate Educational Psychologists across Essex. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with schools, families, and other professionals to support the educational and emotional development of children and young people. This role involves conducting assessments, providing interventions, and developing strategies to address learning difficulties and emotional challenges.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting psychological assessments to identify children’s educational, emotional, and developmental needs.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.
- Providing direct support and advice to children and young people facing barriers to learning.
- Facilitating workshops and training sessions for educators and parents on psychological principles and interventions.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Staying updated on relevant educational policies, legislation, and best practices in educational psychology.
- Contributing to multi-agency meetings and fostering partnerships with local authorities and educational institutions.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Engaging in professional development opportunities and participate in supervision and peer support.
Requirements:
- Doctorate in Educational Psychology or equivalent qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Full registration with the HCPC as an Educational Psychologist.
- Experience working with children and young people in educational settings.
- Strong understanding of developmental psychology and educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
