Job overview:
- Working as part of a team of officers; and remaining flexible to conflicting demand.

- Able to offer sound housing advice to applicants, remaining aware of statutory and case law changes; and staying abreast of local and national issues relating to Homelessness’.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct assistance and support to individuals facing homelessness, understanding their unique needs and circumstances.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine the most suitable housing solutions for clients.
- Offer guidance on available support services, benefits, and resources to help clients stabilise their housing situation.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with local housing authorities, landlords, and other relevant agencies to secure safe and affordable housing options.
- Stay informed about local housing policies, regulations, and resources to effectively navigate the housing landscape.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, documenting client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to addressing homelessness and housing challenges.
- Establish positive relationships with local community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to enhance the support network for individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Participate in community events and initiatives that promote housing stability and homelessness prevention.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working with homelessness and housing-related issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of local housing policies, social services, and support networks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and organisations.
