Working as a Housing Management Worker, will be playing a pivotal role in ensuring the successful operation and maintenance of housing properties. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong commitment to enhancing the living conditions and overall well-being of residents.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of residential properties, ensuring they meet quality standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conducting regular property inspections and coordinating necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Fostering positive relationships with tenants, addressing their concerns and ensuring a supportive and respectful living environment.
- Providing information and guidance to tenants on tenancy agreements, rights, and responsibilities.
- Coordinating the allocation of housing units, including processing applications, conducting interviews, and ensuring fair and transparent allocation processes.
- Managing vacant properties, overseeing cleaning, maintenance, and preparing units for new tenants.
- Developing and implementing community engagement initiatives to build a sense of community among residents.
- Collaborating with local agencies and organisations to enhance the overall community well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housing management, property management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and databases.
