Housing Management Worker

Job description

As a Housing Management Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals in securing and maintaining stable housing. You will be working closely with individuals facing housing challenges, providing guidance, advocacy, and assistance in accessing appropriate housing options.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing one-on-one support to clients facing housing difficulties, assessing their needs and developing personalised action plans.
  • Assisting clients in accessing housing resources, benefits, and support services.
  • Advocating on behalf of clients to resolve housing-related issues with landlords, housing authorities, and other relevant agencies.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting interactions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
  • Monitoring and evaluating client progress towards housing stability goals.
  • Responding to housing crises promptly, providing immediate support and connecting clients with emergency services when necessary.
  • Collaborating with relevant agencies to address immediate housing needs in crisis situations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of housing policies, regulations, and support services.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in case management and crisis intervention.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
