We are looking for a committed and experienced Educational Psychologist to become part of a dedicated team. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with schools, families, and other professionals to promote the educational and emotional development of children and young people.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting psychological assessments of children and young people using a variety of tools and methods.
- Developing and implementing intervention strategies to support their learning, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Providing expert advice and consultation to teachers, parents, and other professionals on issues related to child development, learning difficulties, and mental health.
- Designing and delivering training sessions for school staff, parents, and other stakeholders on topics such as mental health, behaviour management, and learning strategies.
- Participating in research projects and contribute to the evaluation of educational programs and interventions to inform best practices.
- Working closely with a range of professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to provide holistic support for students.
- Preparing detailed psychological reports based on assessments and provide clear recommendations for interventions and support strategies.
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation, ethical standards, and policies set by local authorities and governing bodies.
Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology, with a further professional qualification in Educational Psychology.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven experience working as an Educational Psychologist, preferably within the UK education system.
- Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and mental health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, parents, and professionals.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
