Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologists in Ireland. The successful candidate will provide psychological assessments, interventions, and therapeutic services to clients of all ages, including individuals, families, and groups. The role will involve working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health support in line with best practices and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough psychological assessments, including psychometric testing, interviews, and observations to identify mental health issues, emotional difficulties, and behavioural concerns.
  • Delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to individuals, families, and groups, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Developing and implementing effective treatment plans, regularly reviewing progress and adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, social workers, GPs) to ensure integrated care for clients.
  • Providing urgent psychological support to individuals in distress, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date clinical records, adhering to ethical standards and confidentiality regulations.
  • Providing clinical supervision to less experienced psychologists or trainees as required and participate in continuing professional development.
  • Engaging in clinical research, contributing to the development of new therapeutic approaches, and stay updated with advancements in psychological practices.

Requirements:

  • A Doctorate in Psychology or equivalent recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the Health and Social Care Professionals Council (CORU).
  • At least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong therapeutic and diagnostic skills across a range of psychological conditions.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
