Job description
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Paediatric ADOS-2 Assessor to join a dedicated team on a freelance, remote basis. The role involves conducting diagnostic assessments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using the ADOS-2 tool. The ideal candidate must be fully trained and proficient in administering ADOS-2 assessments and have experience in working with children who present a range of developmental and behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting remote ADOS-2 assessments for children suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Completing 2 ADOS assessments and 3 developmental histories daily.
- Working closely with families to gather relevant developmental history and background information required for accurate diagnosis.
- Interpreting assessment results and providing clear, comprehensive reports that contribute to diagnostic decisions.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that every child’s needs are addressed holistically.
- Maintaining accurate, confidential records in line with best practices and data protection guidelines.
- Attending a one-week introductory training (Monday to Thursday) to understand the workflow and system setup for remote assessments.
Requirements:
- Must be ADOS-2 trained with experience conducting diagnostic assessments for children with ASD.
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive developmental histories as part of the diagnostic process.
- Paediatric experience in working with children with developmental challenges or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members remotely.
- Ability to deliver high-quality reports and assessments within specified timeframes.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
