We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join a children's services team on a locum basis. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with speech, language, and communication needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication skills in children.
- Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Providing direct therapy sessions focusing on improving communication skills.
- Working closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support the child's progress.
- Offering guidance and strategies to assist with the child’s communication in everyday settings.
- Tracking progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed, and maintaining detailed records.
- Providing regular updates and reports on the child’s development.
- Ensuring that the clinic environment is safe, supportive, and conducive to effective therapy.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Must be available to work Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
