Senior Housing Support Worker

As a Senior Housing Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of housing support services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing leadership and guidance to a team of housing support workers.
• Conducting regular team meetings to share updates, address concerns, and promote a collaborative working environment.
• Overseeing the assessment, planning, and implementation of support plans for residents.
• Conducting regular reviews to ensure that support plans align with residents' evolving needs.
• Providing a supportive and empowering environment that promotes residents' independence and well-being.
• Responding effectively to crisis situations, working closely with the team to de-escalate and resolve issues.
• Maintaining a calm and composed demeanour during challenging situations.
• Preparing regular reports on the progress and challenges within the housing support program.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in social work, housing support, or a related field.
• Experience of working in a housing support role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and external stakeholders.
• Genuine empathy and compassion for individuals facing housing challenges.
• Ability to build trust and establish rapport with residents.
