Job purpose:
- To oversee and effectively manage supported accommodation.
- Ensuring that the highest standards of service quality, performance and improvements are achieved.
- Leading the delivery of an innovative, best practise service, focussing on enabling vulnerable individuals to meet their full potential.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing to the overall management of the Rough Sleeping Service.
- Ensuring the effective and efficient management of the Rough Sleeping pathway.
- Monitoring the performance of the service area and ensuring it is delivered efficiently and effectively to a high standard of customer care.
- Leading and co-ordinating services relating to supporting rough sleepers.
- Contributing to the development of the Housing Needs Service policies, plans and key priorities.
- Ensuring teams meet relevant key objectives from the Councils Homelessness Strategy.
- Supporting and contributing to bids for funding opportunities relating to rough sleeping.
- Developing effective LBR reporting and protocols.
Requirements:
- Professional Housing Qualification.
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the law relating to homelessness as covered by the 1996 Housing Act and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
- Knowledge of the Children's Act, and the Care Act.
- Ability to motivate, manage and develop workers and resources within the relevant areas.
- Managing activities and performance in line with the corporate policy and procedure.
- Extensive experience of working with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, in housing need and/or living in unsatisfactory housing.
