We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) to join the dynamic team in Harlow. This is a temporary position with a contract length of 3 months, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to our diverse client base.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans tailored to each client’s specific needs.
- Providing direct therapy services to clients, using evidence-based practices to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, and educators, to ensure integrated care.
- Educating and supporting families and caregivers on how to assist in the therapeutic process and enhance communication skills at home.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Providing training, supervision, and mentorship to junior staff and students as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, with at least 1 year at Band 7 level or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
Pay:
- Standard: £24.83 p/hr
- Weekends: £27.87 p/hr
- Bank Holidays: £29.39 p/hr
