Job description
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join a team in Blackheath. This role involves working with children and adults to assess and treat speech, language, and communication difficulties, providing essential support to improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Utilising a variety of assessment tools and techniques to develop a clear understanding of individual needs.
- Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to address identified needs.
- Using evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving their communication goals.
- Working collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support the client’s development and progress.
- Providing training and support to family members and educational staff to facilitate effective communication strategies.
- Regularly reviewing and evaluating clients' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
Requirements:
- Speech and Language Therapy Degree.
- Registration with HCPC.
- Experience working with children and/or adults with speech, language and communication difficulties.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
