Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents during the night hours, ensuring their well-being and addressing any emergencies that may arise.
- Regularly checking on residents throughout the night to ensure their comfort and address any immediate needs. Remain vigilant to any changes in their condition or behaviour.
- Accurately recording observations, incidents, and any interactions during the night shift. Maintain clear and concise records that contribute to the overall care plan.
- Collaborating with other team members and sharing relevant information to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.
- Communicating effectively with residents, offering reassurance and support as needed.
- Responding promptly and effectively to any emergencies or crisis situations. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Providing emotional support to residents who may be experiencing anxiety, restlessness, or other nighttime challenges. Foster a positive and caring atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour with a genuine interest in the well-being of others.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
